Abraham
Lincoln (1809-1865) is generally regarded as one of America's greatest
Presidents. Sometimes called Abe Lincoln, Honest Abe, or the Great
Emancipator, he served as the 16th President of the United States
(1861-1865) and was the first President elected from the Republican
Party. Because of his role in destroying slavery, redefining our
national values, and preserving the Union, Lincoln's assassination
made him a martyr to millions of Americans and created a legacy
that is unparalleled by any other President.
Abraham
Lincoln is also the most highly collected President in America,
surpassing even George Washington in terms of collectibility,
and the overall field of Abraham Lincoln collectibles is often
referred to as "Lincolniana".
Joseph
P. Leithmann Jr. (1939-2005) also felt that Abraham Lincoln was
America's greatest American President. So much so that he spent
more than 20 years of his life collecting Lincoln Memorabilia.
Joe Leithmann first started collecting Lincolniana on a part-time
basis while working at Philadelphia Electric. Joe truly felt that
Lincoln was a great and honest man and began seeking out anything
related to Abraham Lincoln. After his retirement in 1991, Joe
spent the next 15 years pursuing his passion on a full time basis.
Not only did he collect Abraham Lincoln Memorabilia, he collected
anything even remotely related to Lincoln
Lincoln Highway

Lincoln Logs. Joe even drove a Lincoln
Town Car. He purchased single items, and he sought out entire
collections. He would even purchase entire boxes of items at Auction,
just to acquire one single Lincoln item within that box. If it
pertained to Abraham Lincoln, Joe Leithmann collected it.
